The thing is that previous versions of photoshop didnt have animation function before. But you could download on official adobe family web site www.adobe.com Adobe Image. Before it, when you wanted to make animations you have to switch photoshop to image ready and then continue working. Nowdays, thanks to new versions of photoshop image ready is no longer needed for animations. So….
Animation tutorial for photoshop cs3:
Open a new document and prepare layers for animation. Make as many layers as many times you want your pictures or text to be changed. If you have a look above at animation picture and text on it that i have prepared as a sample, you will see, that it has 4 layers. After layers are ready open animation on window in menu.
Create as namy animation frames as many you have layers. So to make the same animation as on this page you will need 4 animation frames. Give its frame one layer, by hiding other layers and leaving just one. As the result you have to see on every frame different picture of text.
Every frame has options like seconds to show each frame, dont forget to click forever under first frame if you want animation to be played non stop.
After your animation is ready click File and choose function save for web and devices. In the opened window click save again and show the folder.
By clicking on your saved file check if it is working. Your animation will be saved as gif.
It is really very easy and useful for web site design when you make banners and header. Why gif.?
